The mate form par excellence for centuries, the calabash is still the number 1 drinking vessel in South America. No wonder, since it offers all the advantages of a perfect mate mug: It is shapely, fits well in the hand, is light and has an insulating effect, which on the one hand prevents you from burning your fingers when passing it on and on the other hand the temperature of the mate when you pass it drinking stops.
We based our production of this minimalistic ceramic mate cup on this tried-and-tested natural mate cup. With the aim of offering an easy-care alternative to the natural gourd that has the same advantages as the original.
The taste of the mate from this is clear and pure, unaffected by the ceramic mate cup. In contrast to the natural version, the mate can be poured with sugar or fruit juice without worrying about mold.
They are made in a ceramics workshop in Leipzig.

Basically the prettiest mate cup on the market. I love it, feels really good to use it everyday.
Dier Matebecher ist sehr schön und glatt und angenehm. Er liegt perfekt in der Hand und ist einfach gut. Allerdings ist er die ersten zwei, drei Schlucke noch etwas warn, man braucht hat entweder nicht ganz so empfindliche Fingerspitzen, aber nimmt kurz eine Serviette zur Hilfe. Aber das ist er auch wirklich wert, ich mag den nicht mehr missen. Und im übrigen ist er so schön und stilvoll, dass man auch anderen Tee damit genießen kann. Mir tut es leid, dass mein Mann Tee konsequent aus normalen Tassen trinkt, sonst hätte er sich diesen Becher schenken lassen müssen :-)
